From 16 to 26 January 2011, ASDEMO activists visited Germany as was presupposed by 'Climate change and global warming consequences' joint program of research.

ASDEMO participated in a range of seminars and laboratory experiments. Both Belarusian and German participants defined most important aspects of climate change that impact rank-and-file urbanites life in their respective countries.

One of such factors is energy loss that was studied by program participants at a specialized laboratory at one of Hannover high schools. Activists learned basic principles of energy, its aquisition in household conditions, and most importantly its saving. Belarusian activists were shocked to learn the scope of energy loss in typical housholds. Back in Belarus, we used a German-made heat leakeage detection camera for measuring energy loss by various types of buildings in our home city of Gomel.  


Belarusian activists were also taken to an ecostation and were shown examples of up-to-date environmental and energy-saving household solutions.


Finally, we visited our friends at 'Bund Jugend' in Bremen and had a program of educational activities with them.
