On 26 April 2007, ASDEMO in cooperation with workers of the main city park, Belorussian Society for Nature Protection, and school children from the Central Administrative District of Gomel set 50 hawthorn seedlings at the embankment of Sozh River.

In addition, ASDEMO organized in the Park a display of alternative energy sources, to include a sun energy collector, a parabolic mirror, and a windmill. During the action, Gomel poets read their verses. In the near future, ASDEMO plans to set an alley of trees in memory of Chernobyl tragedy. As Vladimir Kovzelev, ASDEMO's director, said to Belorussian News Agency, his organization would plant 200 trees.
