In November 2007, members of ASDEMO visited a penal colony for juvenile delinquents in Petrikov (Gomel Region) that housed 126 girls aging from 13 to 18.
ASDEMO activists introduced themselves to the girls. Then activists conducted an express analysis of fresh water in the colony's pipeline (the water proved to be OK) as well as water in a nearby river (the MAC value for Fe was exceeded). Next, ASDEMO ran a training on AIDS; ASDEMO and girls from the penal colony showed each other their artistic skills during a concert; and, finally, they shared a meal. |
