On 29 March - 1 April  2005, ASDEMO took part in a conference for public activists that was held near Minsk. This event was intended by its organizers and participants to coordinate their efforts in AIDS awareness raising. The accent of the resultant program of actions was made on peer-to-peer education by youth activists in cooperation with medical and educational institutions. 

The conference was attended by 112 representatives from all over the country: senior school children, students, teachers, other representative of educational and medical institutions as well as the UN Envoy in Belarus. As a result, a plan  was compiled of actions for each region. The plan for Gomel Region was reviewed by ASDEMO representatives and included training sessions for the youth, seminars for parents and teachers, Internet conferences, a yearly event 'Let's beat AIDS', opinion surveys, work in summer camps, theatrical performance, etc.
